  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Great Day to all!
I finally go my front plate removed and I really like the look.
Attached are pics of the removed plate and the body plugs that I used to fill the holes the original plate mount left.
These plugs went through the Clear Bra into the bumper.

NOTE- the original plate mount used 3 holes but the dealers used the same 1" bolts and put bolt marks on my front bumper leaving dimples. I felt I had to use the body plugs on these holes too.

What state are you in? Is this legal?

Response: Front License Plate- Removed

Legal? I didn't ask permission.
About 20%+ of the vehicles (Corvettes, BMW's, Infiniti FX) do not run a front plate in Texas.
From experience, ;)I've found that as long as one has the plate inside the car, one can simply place it on the dash if "Officer Bill" has any concerns.

Kansas only has rear Lic Plate..

Where did you get the plugs? The dealership screwed up my front end as well with that front plate holder. Now that I have removed it, I have the holes that I was looking for a way to fill. No front plate needed here in NC, but it is required in SC where the car was purchased. Thanks.

You can buy chrome caps that snap over screws. The way they work is that you first run the screw through a small plastic gizmo, then screw it into the holes you want to fill. Next you take the chrome cap, and snap it over the plastic gizmo. Easy. Motorcycle guys have been doing it for years.

You can buy these "chrome screw caps" (I think thats what they are called) at many Motorcycle shops. Mostly Harley shops, and Honda shops plus motorcycle accessory shops.

They are body plugs. I got them from a dent removal shop. They sometimes have to drill a hole a a door eave to get their tools to the dent. These plug those holes rather well!
