front lisense plate mount?

My used out of state 22 G70 did not come with a front lisence plate mount and it has been 6 months and no progress. The closest Genesis dealer (75 miles away) kept sending the wrong parts. I bought a mount stated to be "OEM equivalent" that mounts from the tow hook opening , but this blocks the parking sensor.
I see some that mount low on the center of the grill but wonder if that will impair air flow.

What do you Californians do? CHP said they can pull me over, but no problems yet.

I do not have any problems without a plate in the LA area. Too many other problems for them to worry about. Generally, If you are out driving like an a-hole or doing other things to attract attention, you will get it. Otherwise, do not worry about it. Does part # 86519-G9510 not fit your car?

Or are on temporary tags? I have not run front plates in decades. I have been pulled over twice in the past 20+ years. Both times I just got a warning. You have to remember to that they have to look at the front and back of your car to know if you are not running a front plate and not be from out of state or a temporary tag.

Beverly Hills cops have nothing else to do. They stopped me once for crossing at a red light. There were no cars in site. I asked them "how fast was I going officer?"

Ok- I'll go bareback. Rarely go to LA anyway. I agree the front plate spoils the entire front appearance

Carry it with you and have the mount broken. Sorry officer, I got backed into and it broke. The dealer is getting me a new one next week.

I have carried mine in the trunk since 7/21 for that reason.

bought a mount from Ebay that screws into the tow socket. Mounted it and it seems far enough from the front radar site but now the red color warning comes up even though I am about 5 feet away from anything.
Now what? How do you California people have the front plate on?. Looks like it is supposed to go in the low center based on pictures on yahoo.

I just put it where it’s supposed to go. The holes are already there, you just need the bracket. Westlake did it for me without a problem. Too bad they are closing.
