  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I own a Genesis Sedan 2012 Tech Pack and the front object sensor comes on sometimes, but not every time, when I start the engine. At this point, I can hear 3 successive "bling" and the green triangular front warning light that comes on. When I start to move, the warning light turns off and at the next stop, it's the same phenomenon, 3 "bling" and the green light that comes on even if there is nothing in front of the car.
Has anyone ever had this problem?

I had this happen on my 2013. Front sensopr needed to be replaced. I was still under warranty. It was around 190.00 if I would have had to pay for it.

I have a 2012 Tech package also and it happened to me. It would come and go but finally it stayed permanently. I delt with it for awhile since playing music sounded out the beeping but the flashing green arrow pissed me off lol. I think I paid like $300 to replace it at the dealership

What is the part # and can it be replaced DIY?

Yes, it can be a DYI - i changed mine myself. There are two front center sensors, and I wasn't sure which so I bought two from ebay for $45 each. The bumper cover needs to be removed to access, but that's wasn't too difficult. The headlights do not need to be removed as per many instructions online.

Thanks. I've starting having the sensor issue myself. Guess I'll get a jump on the problem.
