There’s a camera by the rear view mirror , you can see it if you look at the windscreen from outside, if you got a higher trim level then there will be 3 radars in front bumper and 2 in the back , for the adaptive cruise control , there’s just one radar like the picture In the post

I see roughly dime size circles in my front and rear bumpers and on the side by the wheel wells. Are the parking sensors behind the circles? Is there somewhere in the owners manual that gives more detail on the quantity and location of the cameras and sensors?

Hi, no the ultrasonic sensors are not the same as radars , the ultra sonic sensors are very small circles in the front and back bumper , probably around 15mm wide, the manual does tell you location of the cameras and sensors , I’ll check the page and let you know but some cars will have extra sensors and radars , the adaptive cruise control uses the main radar at the bottom of the front bumper , if you got lane change assist then you’ll have 2 extra radars behind the front bumper , there’s a camera by your rear view mirror which you can see from outside if you look at the windscreen/windshield , if you got 360 camera then you’ll have a camera in the front grill and one on each side mirror and the reverse camera , and behind the rear bumper under the rear lights ,there’s 2 radars which is used for rear collision assist and lane change assist , if you have the bigger instrument cluster then there’s a camera watching you while driving , it’s above the cluster , the radars won’t be visible as they are behind the bumper , you can see the wiring for the front one in the middle at the bottom of the bumper if you look behind the trim , the ultrasonic sensors are clearly visible on the bumpers , there’s several round ones on the bumpers and they are the only small round thing on the bumpers so obvious but they are fit the parking sensors , if you look in the driver assistant section in the manual it gives you brief location of them but if you want more detailed info then message me and I’ll send it you

Thank you again for your help with my question. You have provided a lot of information, I am grateful for it. I count 6 ultrasonic sensors in the rear of my vehicle and 4 in the front. From your explanation I have 5 radar sensors and 6 cameras. There is a lot going on when the car is driven.

I always check to make sure the features that are important to me are definitely included in the car I’m getting before making a final decision. Never assume.

It does say front collision avoidance and pedestrian and bicycle warning on the sticker. Kinda mis leading.

Actually I don’t think you are reading it correctly. The sticker says it DOES have forward collision assist. The sticker also says that certain advanced features are deleted from this feature but you shouldn’t interpret that to mean the entire feature is missing.

So in my mind, nothing misleading. Still think so?

The sticker you show doesn’t show anything deleted. So was anything deleted?
The sticker I was looking at showed features deleted but the basic forward collision feature was there. Obviously the sticker you are looking at is very different and doesnt show anything deleted, unless I’m missing something.

So I have relocated my license plate to front lower center. With No issues. I don’t use cruise control but what else is there. I know my Auto breaking works just fine since The plate was relocated because I have had 2 incidents. I do have Select trim. I don’t have Front Parking Assist …So where #8 is, is what I questioning.

I ordered the 2.5T Prestige a week or so ago, and specifically asked the question about the license plate. He said that that placement of the license plate on the Prestige trim would not work given the sensors/radar immediately behind it. He mentioned some have used a special mounting plate that ties into the passenger side tow hook hole, but even then, some have experienced issues where for proper functioning, they the license plate had to be tilted, which of course is a non-starter.

I truly hate the idea of plopping a big ugly white rectangle on that beautiful grill, so I will be exploring different alternative options when I receive my GV. Either that, or take my chances with a tinted or smoked licence protector cover and hope I don't get pulled over.

So my question is, I know I dont have front parking alert only rear in my Select Trim . But I do have front collision alert.
So would that or any other sensor be where I have the license diagramed to be which is centered just below the grill. I dont see anything there when I look in there..

Well this is an update. I installed the license plate lower with STO N GO mounting bracket. No issues. I don't use cruise control so I'm not sure about that working or not.. But the FWD COLLISION-AVOIDANCE ASSIST works for sure. This is on the Select trim....the bottom of the plate is ten inches from the ground.

The GGM team succeeded in making me a non repeat customer.

I agree. If have the select version and no front parking sensors. Ridiculous

Is it possible that my GV70 does not have a front Parking Sensor? It has the button and control light, but no alert beeping.
Adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assisting, remote start BUT NO PARKING SENSOR? My cheap old car had it standard.

It depends on the trim. My Select trim does not have front parking only rear.

No disrespect to your opinions or anything.
However, I don't think this is quite fair. It's not like they lied and said it was included and not gave it to you. Any little bit of research would have revealed what is and is not included in each trim level.
And FYI, I've had issues with Genesis and their customer service (you'll see if look at my history). However, they are relatively speaking, minor issues.

Anytime I buy a car, I look to see what is and is not included and make sure I get the exact car I want.
There are now many things that are "required" and this list keeps growing.
things like - heated seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, HUD and many more.

You are certainly not the only one. It's hard to imagine anyone not doing this!
