  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Front Parking Sensors Believe in Ghosts!

Seems to be the case. BMW or Lexus end up talking to a company like Valeo and tell them "we need a parking sensor with specs x,y,z", then one day you pull up behind one, frequencies clash and boom--false alert. Freaky when it happens, but so far it hasn't triggered AEB.
If you top far enough that you can see the tires of the car in front of you the distance is enough to not set them off. Safer too if you got rear ended.

Most excellent tip.

I pretty much only get it with Fords. Sometimes I'll get it from a BMW if I remember correctly, but almost all newer Fords set it off.
I seem to be lucky in that it does it from a reasonable distance too. Going to just stay away from Fords at lights
