  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

120F isn't uncommon in the summer in Arizona! We also wears shorts a lot; so, seat covers are desirable.
However, since the headrest on the 2011 sedan isn't removable, I've been
unable to find any that will fit. Can anyone suggest a brand that will fit so I can go to their website and look for distributors.
Thanks from sizzling Scottsdale.

How will your seat airbags function with seat covers on?

PMCErnie is right. Those seat covers will probably interfere with the air bags. Why are seat covers desirable if you wear shorts? I wear shorts ALL the time and don't have seat covers.

I think you missed the 120 degree temperatures part. The sheepskins from COSTCO that I tried said they were pre-cut or weakened to allow the seat bags to deploy. THEN they said "Step 1 - Remove the headrests .....". And that was the end of that. I am looking for seatcovers specially designed for Genesis and I doubt they exist. Thanks for the replies, tho'.

Years ago, before airbags, I had sheepskin seatcovers in two Z cars. Very plush and comfy. These days, however, I wouldn't take any chances on impeding the operation of airbags. My advice is to put a towel on your seat when you leave the car and remove it when you sit down. I'd also recommend tinting your windows if you haven't already done so. My wife likes to put a removable sunscreen in her front window when parked, but I can't be bothered with fiddling with them.

Get a good sun shade for the front windshield like this. I have one for my Genesis which has no garage to park in. In combination with my tinted windows, it keeps the interior temp significantly lower. The Intro-Tech sun shade is custom cut and fits like a glove. It only takes a few seconds to put up or take down.
