  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello fellow Genesis owners,
I have a two part question. First, I see that there is a camera in the windshield on top by the rear view mirror. What does it do? Second, Does anyone have any ideas on where to find struts for my 2012 Genesis r spec? I have looked all over with no luck.

The camera on the front at least on my 2009 is the rain sensor for the auto wipers and may also be the light sensor for the headlights. Might have additional functions on the newer models but I'm not sure. And as far as I'm aware there aren't any complete struts available for our cars, you gotta buy the parts separate and assemble it. I work for MB and that is how they do it too. The cost ends up near the price of BC coilovers which is one of the reasons I personally went that route.

Very good, Thank you much. I will go and look at the coil overs. Thanks again.

That camera is most likely for your lane keeper assist, if you have that feature.

another place for OEM parts that I have used.
the deal on your windshield is for the lane keep assist and there is also a sensor for the rain sensing wiper feature (I am not a fan!)
