  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Front under shield hanging

This makes no sense to me. I can't imagine the design changed in such a short period of time. When I'm at the dealer to get my new rotors, I'll try to remember to take some pics under the cars in the lot, and maybe ask the service guy (good luck with that).

I couldn't wait, so I put it on the lift, after taking a picture on the ground. You can see that the rear of the panel hangs down a bit, leaving a pretty good sized air gap above it, probably for airflow around the finned tranny cover.

Once in the air, you can see that there are no missing fasteners, and no way to attach the rear of the panel.

In fact, there are two stiffeners riveted on, one on each side, to provide support and keep it from flapping or breaking off.

So I think it must be a subjective thing as to what people consider "hanging down". I would think they all look like this.

This.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

Yep looks about the same. Mine is down just slightly more But not enough to worry.
thanks for the pics.

Mine was quite a ways down - apparently, the panel warps due to heat over time. I had mine replaced under warranty.
