  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I see where the maintenance schedule for my 2013 calls for fuel additives at 7500 mile intervals. Anyone have any recommendations?

I use Lucas on most fill-ups except when I purchase BP fuel.

Seafoam has been a good choice for me. As well as the above mentioned Techron.

And yes, use Top Tier branded gas.

So Techron says use every 3000 miles. Owner manual says add every 7500. What does user experience suggest..or just split the difference ?

Techcon is in the business of selling additives. Genesis wants to keep things clean.
How long are you going to keep your car? On my last two, both ran like new with 50,000 miles and I put it in 0 times. Your money, your choice. I do use Top Tier gas.

Hmmmm ok. Seems the Top Tier is that because it's "with Techron".
And Im assuming the whole additive issue is more important in the DGI system.
Running a bottle of Techron High Mileage system cleaner
and full tank of Top Tier gas

Another great additive is “44K”, by BG Products. I have to order it online, though, or get it through a local car dealership (not necessarily a Hyundai dealer, just start asking around). It’s not sold in parts stores, at least that I’ve seen.
I had the Check Engine light come on in my BMW 740iL years ago, with a bunch of different codes listed. A new fuel filter and a can of BG 44K was all I needed to clear it up. Maybe I just got lucky, but that’s my experience, and I heard about the stuff from someone else who used it successfully.
