  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Fuel economy / miles/gallon

I personally can't complain. I knew what I was getting myself into buying a 375HP V8 powered car that weighs almost 4100 pounds. I can have a heavy foot from time to time and see anywhere from 13 to 17 in city depending on how I drive that tank. I had a long distance almost all highway road trip and was over 29mpg average by the time I got home. Absolutely no complaints about that at all.

Oh, so it's on the "www.fueleconomy.gov" website..... thanks tons!!!
Yeah. When I google "epa mileage ratings" that is the first website that shows up.

Yeah. When I google "epa mileage ratings" that is the first website that shows up.

But it's NOT on the EPA website.... hmmm

Excuuuuuuse me!! I just assumed that members know how to use google.

I just followed your directions.... maybe that was my mistake!!

Now I know better than to think "go to the EPA website" actually means "Google EPA website" !!

Can confirm that the R-Spec gets an average of 2-3 MPG more on 93 vs 87. Also gets about 20-25 more HP at the top end.

My average on 87 is ~21.5 combined. My joy, however, is pegged at 95-100% when driving, so I say who cares?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
my 3.8 AWD gets around 8.5 - 9 L/100 km on the highway cruising at 95 - 100 km/h (59 - 62 MPH), but fares much worse in town, at around 14 - 16 L/100 km (I have a pretty heavy foot in town). Average usually works out to between 11 - 13.5 L/100 km. Which isn't bad for a 320 HP car that weighs 4500 lbs. dry. Its better than my previous 2.0T Genesis Coupe funny enough. Loving the car so far. Apparently its a thief trap though. Hasn't been successfully broken into yet, but doesn't mean people haven't tried. :(
