  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So the lighter 3.3T G70 gets worse city fuel economy than the larger Stinger GT (3.3T)? :what:

G70 RWD 18/26/21
G70 AWD 18/25/20

Stinger RWD 19/25/21
Stinger AWD 19/25/21

For the 3.3T equipped models.: The much heavier G80 and G90 get the same fuel economy with AWD (17/24/20). Then the lighter AWD Stinger improves on that slightly (+2/+1/+1). Then in the even lighter G70, it gets worse (-1/+0/-1)....say what now.........not the same as the Stinger (like the G80 vs. G90) but worse...........

Mine got 31.7 MPG today all highway

Wow, I wonder if your tune actually helped with mpg, I've never gotten even 29mpg on the highway (although the car's readout may have been as high as 30-31.)

I'm on the stock ECU right now.... Keep in mind, I have an AWD but with the 18s and all season square tire setup. Car weight is 3865lbs and speed was set to 108kph or 67mph. I was also mostly with wind...

I wouldn't read too much into those EPA ratings. Real world numbers depends far more on how the car is driven.

Not 3.3TT, both my son followed me home in the Stinger on our way home from buying the G70 (me driving). Gas station to gas station over the exact same drive from DFW to Houston - the two 2.0T used almost exactly the same amount of fuel - within 1/10 of a gallon. Would have never guessed that by looking at the EPA ratings.

I have the same tire and wheel setup. Your speed (not 75, haha) and the wind probably did the trick.

The older 2.0T engines are less efficient than the new 2.5T (dual injection, better turbo, etc), and that's why they're not that great with fuel economy. But they're not that bad. The great news is the 2.0T should run perfectly fine with regular, right? My 2016 Optima SX-L had basically the same numbers as the G70 2.0T (245/260 vs 252/260), and it didn't even recommend premium, or even mid grade fuel. Just straight regular. So surprised the G70 even recommends premium with those low power numbers. So it probably makes the same 245/260 with regular? Just curious. Thx.
