  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just a heads up.
I just got a new 2016 Genesis 3.8 base about 2 months ago.
I blew a power outlet fuse. No problem. Go to parts house with old fuse in hand. They didn't have it. Said they had never seen one like it.
Went to nearby Hyundai dealer. They also didn't have it. Went to another dealer. Same thing. No one has ever seen one like it and they can't find the part number.

I finally just found a spare fuse in the fuse block, moved it to the power outlet position and all is good.

This is in the dash fuse block. There are several fuses marked as Spare but what do you do if you use all of them up for some reason?

I don't know if this is just a 2016 problem. My experience working on cars has been that the power outlet (cigarette lighter sockets) fuses are the most replaced fuses in most cars. If the dealer doesn't have them then they also don't have the other fuses for this car.

If anyone knows the part no for this 20A fuse would you please let me know. I would like to order some.

Did you do an online search? Is there are part number on the existing fuse? Can the dealer order you a package of them?

Yes I did online search and found fuses that look like they will work but not sure.

There is no numbers on the fuse other than the voltage and amperage of the fuse.

The first dealer gave me a part number but it was not the correct fuse. The second dealer said they would do some research and see what they could find. I have been out of town for the last few days and haven't had a chance to check back with them. When I find out something, I will let you know.
