G1 blasphemy :)

On the way home tonight I ended up behind a G1 sedan.

Clearly this guy does not deserve this car. It's absolutely disgusting - and judging by the blackness - I am willing to bet that bumper is very well stained. While stopped in traffic just before I shot this - I almost got out of the car with a rag and went to wipe it down... :/

Well - that too.... but damn - you really gotta not like your car to let the carbon buildup get like that. I almost have to wonder if he isn't having an engine problem, too....

The GDI engines produce a lot of that soot form the tailpipes, so probably normal. But it does need to be cleaned regularly, especially if one has a white car.

Looks there is a baby seat in that car, so who knows, maybe the inside is even in worse shape.

On top of it, he didn't replace the dealer plate holder with one of those nice chrome holders, that say Genesis on it.

Wow, that's hideous. Definitely a by-product of the GDI engine and owner neglect. I've had my white MPI 4.6 for a few months now and though I clean it regularly I've noticed no soot at all building up like it would on my previous GDI V6.

Pretty ignorant comment on every level. I have Genesis badges on my car because I like the look and it goes along with the modified theme but not everyone feels that way and many people have no issue with the Hyundai badging.

I think Mark may have just 747'd you with his dry sense of humor. I don't think he'd actually discriminate against the Hyundai badge based on other comments I've seen him make.

there's a Genesis Coupe in a parking lot of an apt building nearby where I walk my dogs sometimes and that poor car has been beaten, abused, never cleaned, interior is torn and body panels are falling off. It's a BK1 3.8 and everytime I see it I think WTF, dude- don't you know what you have in that car!
