  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 2.0T Advanced Active Engine Sound

Me neither. I was playing around with it the other day, can't tell a difference. Though, I do have an aftermarket exhaust, but it's not a ton louder than stock. 🤷‍♀️
Where did you get your exhaust from ?

Try it at WOT in sport mode and you should hear it. Not sure if stereo volume impacts it or not, but the one time I did play around with it, I had the volume around 15.

It was discussed in another thread, but the noise isn't really added at all points in the RPM range and I believe anything short of sport limits the effect as well. It's largely there to make you feel like you have a race car when you mash the pedal
Hey , what does WOT mean ?

You have that feature if you got the lexicon sound system, thus only on higher trims. It's for the best really.

They try their hardests to isolate you from the road and even make the exhuast muted then they pump sound from the speakers. That's probably something they had to do after market research

It doesn't sound too different from the real engine sound when you open the windows at least in the 3.3. Maybe that's why some of you guys couldn't tell the difference.

I'd feel cheated if I couldn't turn it off and it would suck for someone who wants an aftermarket exhuast
