G70 3.3 dipstick reading?

My 3.3 G70 oil dipstick has a very short reading area about 1/4 inch which has 2 rows of raised horizontal dots and then a raised horizontal line. Not a normal stick, at least to me and not the one in the pic in the manuel.Is the top solid line the full mark?

This is how mine looks, with that nice thick wire that's easy to bend into the dipstick tube and easy to read on that orange flat section. Yours is different? If so, post a pic.

Your tip has broken off, not an uncommon issue. You need a new dip stick. (I don't think that the tip sitting in the bottom of the oil pan will ever be a problem.)
