  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have been dethroned!
;)

I envy you mature G70 drivers.

Something happened to me about the time I reached 73 or so; probably arthritis. But I could not longer get in and out of the low cars that I've always driven. Gave up my TBird and my Genesis coupe. Tried Jag F Type and Fiat Spider. Stopped considering Toyota Supra. I thought the G70 would be my salvation, so I had my dealer find exactly what I wanted. I went to pick it up, and couldn't get out of it. I got the G80 sport sedan instead, although even it is a bit of a strain - I'm building up my arm muscles hauling myself out. That "Disabled Vet" tag is now fully justified...

I understand why SUVs and trucks are outselling sedans and sporty cars. Too many ancient or obese drivers out there.

I should start this poll in the G80 forum, but extend the upper age limit a notch or two.

Good to see that there are some old farts that like a great ride. I'm looking to be the oldest here (80 going on 81), but don't mind some company. For me, I wasn't able to own a good driver's car until I retired at 60 when I started with all RWDs (BMW 325, Z4, Cadillac ATS, MB C300c-not too bad, but certainly more luxury than sport). And now the best of the lot, the G70 3.3T Prestige/Elite...
Shit I just got back from your area. I was staying in Eau Palm Beach just north of you. Love the area. Last time was a bit further north on Singer Island. Definitely my goal to spend more time in the area as I get older. (y)

Oh, and good choices in vehicles.

Good luck, Ed. Hope you can make it down here more often. Only real negative, as far as drives go, is that the roads here are quite straight and not much fun...unless you go a little crazy on the highway entrance ramps.
