G70 driving experience compared to M3/M4

Anyone here had experience driving both the G70 and an M3/4? Well aware that the M3/4 probably has ~60-70 more HP and more impressive engine/exhaust sound but what about general driving excitcement?

I know the more equal comparisons are with the 340i and Audi S4 but was curious how close to these others it gets....

I haven’t driven a G70 yet but just drove a buddy’s M4 and the power/sound was intoxicating.

The G70 with a JB4 will probably be about the same. But you cannot really do that...since you can also tune the M car.

Personally...not a BMW fan. The only BMW that I would even consider is the M4. All the other models are "lost". Even the new 3-series...no thanks.

So stock for stock...performance wise...you obviously cannot compare.

S4...equal...perhaps tick quicker from my own testing. It's definately faster than the 340i...I can attest to that. And lastly...I have taken a C43 AMG a couple of times...so a tick faster as well.

This was a ‘16 M4 and I love the look of the coupe style but I need a 4 door. Have also driven a 340i and enjoyed it. Haven’t driven an S4 though so good to know. I still think the G70 has the balance of power, comfort and looks I would be happy with. The M4 almost too much power it felt like. I’m not going to track it or anything like that.

Oh...the ‘16 M4 is a 4.4 second car...with the dual clutch. So same as the G70.

Without the DC...it was 4.7 seconds. G70 is faster.

Not true. Sure in some degree. ‘16 model not at all.

If the BMW M3/4 are a Sig Sauer, I would never compare a G70 with a Taurus, the G70 is way more than that, a CZ would be a good comparison, awesome pistol, sometimes better than the SIG and overall a lot of gun for its price.

A Czech pistol, is better than Sig Sauer?? Speaking from a gunsmith perspective with over 30 years experience, they're a piece of junk. They're in the economy class of pistols, with reliability to match and and they compare directly with the Taurus overall.

So this is like comparing a G70 to the G70, it's no comparison. No offense and speaking from much experience, CZ's are not a reputable firearm and never have been. I've had more come across my bench for repair for misfiring and broken triggers than even Taurus. Now I just refuse them and recommend the owner send it to CZ for repair.

Keeping this all in perspective, one is an opinion the other is a fact. You might want to make a better comparison for the G70 overall.

Being a 1911 man and not really caring for composite (although the Walther I have has been excellent), how about we say comparing a Dan Wesson (not a Les Baer or Wilson guy) to an STI. Both are quality handguns but one is just a bit above the other. Then again someone may have the opposite view.

Thats a good comparison too. Les Baer should be a Bentley, the M4 a Dan Wesson and the G70 the STI. I like them all. All in their respective place are excellent.

I can attest, only ones to honk at me from behind becuase I slow down to make a turn, wtf?! Entitled bunch, I'm sure not all are but there is a strong congregation of them among tesla drivers. I developed a bit of an irrational hate towards tesla as a result, along with the ridiculous worhsipping of lord musk.

It's just all personal opinion anyway . I mean between the BMW M3/4. Firearms though, are a completely different story. There's junk and then there are higher levels of quality. Worked on most of them, either modifying or repairing.

Maybe, there are certainly are worse and some better, never really though about it though. Either the firearm is repaired or modified correctly or it isn't. There is no in between. Don't get returns and have allot of police officers who are return customers, with their service pistols and rifles. So I suppose, I'm not bad.

I don't need to talk crap about poor products, just tell the truth and only with people who buy the cheap trash. People who buy quality, you don't have too, it's sells itself. This is probably the same reason you purchased a G70, instead of a BMW M3/4? Too cheap or couldn't afford the latter.
