  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I bought my G70 May 14th 2022 and have had nothing but problems with the car, dealership and now “Corporate” since. The car is not safe to drive and has been in the dealerships shop 3 times. I finally called the number on the Genesis app after multiple messages that I received no response to. Currently the car has been in for loud scary noises coming from overhead. The sunroof was replaced but the noises are worse than ever- it’s sounds at times like it’s going to crash in over me. The drive is shaky all the time. The cell phone charger works when it feels like it. Over 55 it sounds like air is coming in like a window is cracked. The AC loses half its power when I use the phone!! In addition the dealership not only put my signature on docs I didn’t sign for a title (for a trade in), they offered to refund my money or a new car and then rescinded said offer when I questioned them about availability of stock, recalls and if anything was going to be done about the fradualant signatures on the title docs for the trade in as I did not trust them. “Corporate” has been a joke. Took a week to call me back. When I asked a week ago if I should take my car back to the dealership customer service said no since it was escalated to corporate. Now corporate is telling me I have to bring it back to the dealership. It’s July 1st and the dealership claims they cannot get me in with a loaner for almost 2 weeks- even after I said I do not feel safe in the car. My case manager said the field service manager would meet with me. I asked for his number so I could set up the appointment. He said “I can’t give out his personal number” I said I want his work number. He said he didn’t have it!!! That’s the tip of the iceberg there is soooo much more!!!

...The AC loses half its power when I use the phone!! ...
This is not a defect, it is a feature. It's in the owner's manual. The car reduces the blower speed to make it easier for you and the other party to hear each other. If you don't want that, then reach over and turn the fan speed back up to where you want it. After the call is over, just press auto. (Note that if it is hot/cold and the call goes on for a few minutes, the fan speed will resume before the end of the call.)

Thanks for clarifying. Think you missed the rest of the post

No, I didn't. I have no comments for the rest of it that might help you. Did you want me to just make something up?

No. Just sounds like the people I’ve been dealing with that work for Genesis- one thing is answered and the rest doesn’t matter. Thanks for the info I was unaware of.

Can you elaborate on "loud scary noises coming from overhead."?
Many of us have dealt with a rattle or a slight crackling sound (usually in hot weather) from around the sunroof, but it wouldn't be described as loud or scary.
For the wireless phone charger to work, the phone needs to be aligned properly on the charging pad. You can't just toss it in there and expect it to work, especially since there's a bit of a lip on the leading edge. If the phone rests on that it raises it up a little and won't charge. Nothing too out of the ordinary. It's not the best charger, but it works. Wireless charging is a feature that most of the competition in this price range doesn't have (or at least didn't in 2019 when I bought mine.)

I have a video I took today but I can’t post it- will only let me post photos. It sounds like the roof will cave in. And there was a major cracking sound as well today that I’ve never heard before. The dealership already recognized this as a serious issues as they replaced the entire sunroof. Sounds are actually worse now. If anyone knows a way to post a video lmk…

Which G70 trim do you have? It's not on your signature.

My advice is to file a Lemon Law claim and get back your money then buy a different vehicle. Start the process now or you will regret it. Document every service visit, who you talked to, what they said, how long they kept the car, etc. Contact an attorney in your area that specializes in this.
What dealer did you take your car to?
