  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Print Media Reviews (US Release)

I think this is going to be an issue that will need to be addressed. I don't know how many vehicles I have owned that did not exibit this type of wear.
Hopefully they fix it for models going forward.

After 1000kms i started to notice a bit of wear on the seat and side bolsters on the left side of my driver seat, im at 3000km now and the wear has not gotten much worse, still diappointing though as it is noticeable
Do you use the easy exit? I am told that if this is used the side bolster is not exposed and should not get rubbed. Even though I don't agree with a certain way to enter or exit a vehicle to prevent premature wear I hope that would help.

Yes, i do use the easy enter/exit, i also intentially maneuver myself to put as little pressure on these points as i can, i am worried what it is going to look like in 3 years

My personal concern with the G70 is the crap gas mileage (BMWs, Audi's, Infinitis around the same HP get way better MPG), and long term reliability, being as this is a new model (Although not a new platform).
We just bought an X3 BMW 5 days ago, averaging over 30mpg. Lady I work with has a 530i and she gets 32mpg in mixed driving, 37 highway. Their 2.0 turbo is efficient and stronger than its numbers indicate. Hyundai needs to address this on their first refresh.

The "Easy Exit" feature makes a big difference. I can see that if you sit closer to the steering wheel, that feature is very important as the side bolsters are kind of big (most aggressive I have ever had) and you need to move backwards and away from the steering wheel in order to clear the side bolsters when you get out.

Look at how this guy gets in and out of a Corvette:

How is it holding up now? I also noticed some creases on the seat after a week, seems like these seats are quite prone to them.

That's every car with premium soft leather.
Only the crappy stuff doesn't wrinkle!
