  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Sightings?

^ surprisingly (especially to myself)...I’ve completely chilled. I used to only drive in Sport. Now I drive in Comfort...and switch to Sport If needed...or if I want a rush.

Got enough of watching the fuel gauge go down like crazy. When on Map 3 and my BOOSTane...and aggressive...I get like 8 mpg.

Ouch. I thought my 18mpg was bad just tooling around in sport, completely stock.

Since this is a thread about sightings do we have a “wave” or a “nod” to show our acknowledgement of each other? In the past I’ve experienced the Jeep owner’s two finger salute without taking your hand off the wheel. As a current VW diesel station wagon owner the I love it 🤙🏼 wave is good. One of my faves was the Focus ST “stick your head out the window on the interstate and scream about how awesome the car is” acknowledgement but what’s the Genesis owner’s?

Just don’t do the “OK” sign. Hitler central.

Stick to a thumbs up.

I have seen two in the past two days in my area. One was a white one and the other was the MB in the sport. As i passed each one I honked a couple of times and gave the thumbs up..so nice to see other G70’s on the road as I see plenty of G80’s and G90’s. And waaayyy too many BMW’s, Camaro’s, Challengers, Mustangs, and Chargers!!!! Nice to have a car thats beautiful and unique and that you don’t see every two seconds!!!!

Yeah, remember the "ok" sign is a hate sign now! Haha (but seriously, it is...evidently)

I'm definitely down with a thumbs up.....if I ever see another G70 owner. Haha.

I’ve seen 3. 1 in Scottsdale, CW 3.3 Sport & 1 in Tempe, HG 2.0 they pulled out from the kids neighborhood, & 1 in Gilbert, HG Prestige

Finally spotted a blue G70 at parking lot Price Chopper Middletown NY Looked nice. . Is it any nobody here?

Just got back from a trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park in Maine, about 9 hours of driving round trip. Didn't see a single G70 (or any Genesis for that matter, which is too bad). It is nice to drive a unique car though. I catch people looking at it, trying to figure out what it is, and lots of compliments.

I finally saw a G70 in the wild today for the first time since starting this thread. It was a Himalayan Gray one at the Tanger outlet stores in Hilton Head, S.C.

As for the “OK” sign somehow being Nazi: Says who? And even if some fringe extremists want to make it “their” sign, why would we go along?

The OK sign being associated with Nazis started as a joke on one of the more infamous anonymous message boards. They wanted to see how fast the media would gobble something so stupid up and run with it. The answer was almost instantly and completely (asinine).

Let’s not make this thread about the OK sign, were just asking for trouble

Back on topic: Don't you guys just love when people stick their head out the window and just straight stare at your car? I had just parked at a breakfast spot over the weekend and a Subie driver passed in front of my car mouth agape and head fully turned trying to figure out what in the hell I was driving. I guess it was his first G70 sighting :thankyouspin:

Finally saw my 3rd G70 in 4 months of ownership! Lol..

I saw my doppelgänger here in Gilbert SI Sport. 😎

Still no other sightings here. Not even toddsauras. The other day though a guy in a wrx was all but half hanging out of his car trying to get a pic at 50 mph then at the stoplight was waving and smiling like a little boy. I stopped even with him and left like 50 feet gap to the car just in front of me so he could get a good pic. Ha.

The other day my wife told me she saw a white G70 on the 99 close-ish to Sherwood. May have been you??

I see a black one from time to time around Manchester NH, that's about it. Like pretty much all cars, it looks good in black (until the salt arrives ☹).
Same goes for my Black Forest green. That's when I really miss having white.

I've had my G70 for about 6 months now and finally saw another one on my way to work this morning. I believe it was forest green, and I must say it looked bad-a$$. Still can't believe they are so scarce around here. Lots more G80s.
