G70 Sport 2.0T 6 Speed Owners-- how is the gearbox and shifting experience?

I agree with the shifts being pretty solid right out of the box and when I say notchy, I may be a describing the shifts a little too critically but there's definitely some room for improvement. Short throws would make this a lot better in my opinion and I have always loved how the weighted shift knobs feel. Just my $0.02.

Actually don't think you're being too critical... there is room for improvement and I wonder whether the 2020 MT is better than the 2019's? In the US, it does not appear that the 2020s have arrived.

^ my source with Genesis CAD says zero MT changes for 2020, trim wise or anything else - including pricing. which is good news. would be annoying for changes so soon. 2020's have been in production for a while now.

I don't think they would do much to improve the transmission in the future either. Their R&D was in the FWD MT and I doubt they will want to invest in a new RWD MT.
