  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 vs Audi S5

I haven't spent a lot of time in the C43 but I did test drive it a bit when I was car shopping. I LOVED the exhaust note, especially with the performance exhaust option. I didn't find the ride to be overly harsh, and the adaptive air suspension seems to work well. I think it can be super sporty or nice and soft depending on how you like it. I remembering at the time wishing it came with 20 inch wheels, but then again that could make the ride harsher. I don't have enough experience to comment on interior squeaks or rattles, but my brother has an E-class and both of us being car guys, we talk quite a bit about car stuff, and he's never complained about it (and he's kind of OCD about this stuff so if it was an issue, I'm pretty sure he'd mention it).

From my understanding, the E-Class has no rattling. The quality is a step above, may not be as flashy but the stability of the interior parts are better than the C Class segment. I assume that's where the price difference is justified.

Merc is a shadow of its' former self. They went mass market, and cheaped out by throwing a 2.0T in everything that can roll. My experience included a gorgeous 2014 E550 Cabriolet, with the AMG wheels. It rode horribly, seats were uncomfortable and the fit and finish was really nothing special. Traded it for a Porsche 911 three years ago and haven't looked back. The service folks were great though, and that is worlds above the Genesis experience. My dad recently leased a G80 and loves it, he's had 3 E class sedans before the Genesis. Not that Merc is a total disaster, but a lot of other companies are nipping at their heels.

I've got a GLC and it's been quiet. Curious though, any idea on sticker price for that C43. I admit I didn't looks at Benz since we have a GLC and wanted some variety.

If I recall correctly, the one I was looking at was pretty much fully optioned and sticker was maybe $67K-ish. It was a great car, but aside from the price, I wasn't a big fan of the look of the sedan. I thought the C43 coupe has better lines. Anyway, at the end of the day, even though the C43 is comparable to the G70 in terms of performance and options, it's way more expensive in terms of price. Again, just reinforces the value proposition of the G70.

I'd verify this personally if I were in the market for an E class and this was important to me. Throttle House found dashboard squeak in the latest 2020 Maybach.

Lol like I said, from my understanding :ROFLMAO:. I personally thought they looked nice, but I heard stories about the creaking. Here's a nice little vid below: Creak galore
