  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A very strange question. I have not test driven a new, 2022 G70 yet. I previous owned a 2010 Lexus IS250. When you wanted to clean the windshield on the Lexus, you would pull the stalk towards you. Washer fluid would squirt on to the windshield and the wipers would cycle 3 times, pause and then wipe once more. For all of the G70 owners out there, how does this compare to the G70 when you want to clean the G70's windshield? Thank you.

Yes, pulling the lever toward the steering wheel activates the wash. I've only used it once and do not recall if it did the one swipe after the initial 2-3. I will check tomorrow for you unless someone else chimes in.

My G80 does not do the extra sweep, but my last cars didn't either, so it's not an issue for me. There is something that my last car did that seemed strange at the time, but makes sense to be now that the G80 does not do it.
If my previous car was low on washer fluid, it would spray the windshield (if there was any fluid left), but would not activate the wipers. My G80 was empty of washer fluid when I tried the washers, and it smeared the windshield pretty badly when the wipers activated anyway.
