  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey. Somebody direct messaged me asking to make them a vinyl transfer for their Genesis Sedan. They rebadged it as a G80 and wanted an extra touch in the interior. Would anyone else be interested in something like this?

How much? Will this fit on a 2018G80 Sport?

If I'm not mistaken, all the knobs are the same size. It costs me $15.99 each to have anything under 50 printed so I'm trying to get as many people on board so that it'll make sense ordering a bunch for a better price. I could probably have them made cheaper in China but I have a store here in Florida that I'd prefer to use. They'll come out better and be done much sooner. Nothing is cheap in 2018.

Would be interested if $16 or less and USA made.

Maybe a wing logo.

How about “Genesis”?

That's a possibility but the lettering would be REALLY small. I mean - the DIAL itself is small. Fitting 7 letters across is going to make use of a microscope in a car. But if enough people prefer it - I'll do it. We just need to get people on board because I can only do one design without costs going way up...

We tried the winged logo but it looked bad in all-white, and out of place in color.

As I have posted I am OK with the G80. Question: You said the winged logo looked bad in all white. The example you displayed is black with white lettering. Why can't the logo use the same combination?

Personally, I prefer the dial unadorned with no brand nor model number.
The 'Genesis' name or wings exist throughout the vehicle (steering wheel, start-up screen (2), floor mats, sill plates, puddle lamps, etc.) to a rather extensive level, so I'm certain to be reminded exactly WHAT vehicle I am driving.

Here are a few examples. Maybe I'm just too picky...
I like # 2 and #3. As to #1 and #2 the font on #2 is a better match for the font on the labels on the center console.

Try not to pay attention to the difference in font - it's not actually "different" but just squeezed in such a way that it's kind of slanted. It's a Photoshop thing and wouldn't be printed that way. I just can't get it any different in Photoshop because I'm not that good of a designer.

What, you don't have Genesis logo tire valve caps? Good gracious!

Actually I do! A gift set from one of my sons...(y)

I have been on the fence about getting those metal genesis logo valve caps... do they have an issue where they freeze to the stems? I am apprehensive because I've had that happen on another car in the past.

Put a dab of grease on the threads. That will keep it from freezing on the stem.

Let's get some more input on this... Anyone else interested?

Still interested in the control knob emblem. Any further activity?
I would like to use the metal Genesis valve stem caps. However, I like a number of owners have nitrogen filled tires and I would want the caps to have some type of green indicator that the tires are nitrogen filled. Is it feasible?
