  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The parts catalog calls them coat hooks. Not a good angle for coat hooks though.

Just picked up my G80 yesterday. Wife asked our salesman/"product specialist" what they were for. He said they were there to hold a partition (between the front and back seats) if you wanted to use the car for Uber driving.

Very creative, but he made that up. Look in the manual. They are coat hooks.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Yes they are coat hooks.

you could probably hang one of those clothing rods that goes across the entire back of the car (like traveling salesmen use to have).

My thoughts on what they are? useless... Unless you are hanging laundry to dry. They truly make no sense at all .

I've been driving Genesis for 2 1/2 years and 50,000 miles and I use them. Well, used one once so far.

Maybe we can come up with more practical uses so they are not wasted. . My favorite Italian store has cheese hanging from the ceiling on strings. I could use them when transporting cheese and salami. How about for drying garlic?

Hang car air freshener on these (pine scented Christmas tree).

As usual the official answer to all questions is in the manual
It’s a CLOTHES HANGER although I can’t imagine anyone using it.

Seems like a hangar with a swivel hook would probably work best there ....

pretty worthless as a clothes hanger. and putting anything there makes it impossible to roll down the rear window.

Last time I put a rear window down was over a dozen years ago and it was accidental. Pissed me off too, the mechanism broke and it would not go back up. I took the panel off and propped it up with a stick. I love a car with good climate control.

not me, spent years owning convertibles. all windows down, sunroof open pretty much anytime I am driving unless it is raining. hell used to drive my convertibles top down windows open in 30° weather, heated seats and heater on full...

Its been many years since I had a convertible. Maybe 10 days a year I wish I still had one, but too hot or too cold, give me a closed box with heat and AC.

I tried a regular hanger and it falls right off when I close the door... I will try a swivel one as suggested.
