  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all, first post here. I recently bought a used 2019 G80 sport 3.3t AWD in Havana red, with only 36k miles. Soon after finding out the car does not come with wireless Apple CarPlay, I went out and bought a carlinkit 5.0 adapter, which is almost plug and play, as it does have its fair share of issues from time to time that changing the settings on the adapter doesn’t seem to prevent, but a reboot of the headunit does atleast bring it back, which I was not able to figure out how to do without somehow fully letting the car go to sleep. I’m sure this has been posted before but I couldn’t find anything when I googled how to reboot it.

So here it is:

Above the cd player, next to the Sirius XM emblem, you’ll find a small button, grab a toothpick (or a pen in a pinch lol) and press it, this will reboot the screen, along with the usb port. Hope this helps!IMG_6418.webpIMG_6417.webp
