  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Since the G80 Sport is now officially on most Genesis dealer lots, I'd like to get an idea of what interested buyer are being offered as a sales price and lease payments/terms. Hopefully, this will become a good resource thread for those looking at the G80s nationwide.

Please keep your post related to the G80S only, thanks.

Right, available but impractical for SoCal.

Is no one buying the Sport or just not happening enough to share their experience and deal? :sorrow:

long island NY. also interested in hearing prices on purchase. not sure if dealers were discounting yet due to limited availability, but was hoping for 15-20 % off msrp to help with depreciation hit

People scare the depreciation hit. That's why I haven't seen one on the road. However, Lexus IS and GS are every corner of the road.

Received lease deal pricing from a Genny dealership in Corona, CA yesterday.

Sales price (unk)
36/12
$750 drive-offs
$670+tax
The dealer had no 3.3's in stock and was hoping to trade if terms were accepted.

Feels like Genny/Hyundai dealers are still not ready to get aggressive on the Sport yet. Odd because in driving around SoCal, I have yet to see a single Sport on the road. Perhaps "limited" availability is still to blame for poor offers?

Isn't the lease residual on 36 months still pretty good (50-55%)?

Been there done that leggy. They, like most SoCal dealers are being super stingy on the Sport. Plus, they quoted me the same payment on a 10K & 12K lease, came off as kinda fishy.

Too expensive. You should be around $560-$600.
What's the residual?

No clue, didn't ask for details after their ridiculous quote. Agree with you on payment though. Has anyone actually gotten close?

Another day another head scratcher of a G80s quote for a SoCal Genesis dealer

36/12
$0 OOP
$659/mo w/ tax (LA County)
Additional terms to follow

Looks like the G80s is a "wait for the hype to die" type of car. Anything over $620/mo seems excessive.

659 a month with tax and 0 out of pocket is pretty good.
mine was 2k 630 which if i compare to you it would be equal to 690 with 0 out of pocket plus u get 12k i got 10k so im like 700 a month compared to your 659. you beat me by 40 a month lol thats a pretty big difference. i do think tho that it will lower as the residuals seem to be climbing up currently.

Will be purchasing 2018 G80 Sport (AWD) in Dec/2017. If anyone is looking to buy, check out, "www.fightingchance.com before you buy. A car is like any other commodity. Shop and create a bid proposal for several dealerships to create competition among them. I was offered $54100.00 INV Price, + DL fees $699+ $950- delivery chgs + tax = $59506. OTD.

Does anyone have the residual for the sport for 36/12?
How widely the car is available in SoCal? To get the best deal, someone need to have excellent credit score and of course contact as many as possible dealers.

I've was told 54% on a 36/12 by Keyes in Van Nuys. However, I havent been able to confirm how accurate that number is.

I bought my G90 at Keyes in January. Johnny Bassous is the only sales person to talk to. He was entirely straightforward to deal with and very knowledgeable. I wouldn't consider anyone else, you won't be happy. When you are ready to buy he will take you to his manager who I think is Bill Horvat. If you give him a reasonable number, he will meet it. No fast switches at the end. He kept his word. BTW in Jan they had huge incentives on leases so I started off leasing the car, got the incentives, and then converted to a finance from my own credit union . The money factor was too high on the lease and they admitted that and encouraged me to convert it to a finance later. No penalties or costs to do the conversion. Message me if you want my name to give to them. Six months later and they still stay in touch to see how I'm doing with the car. Best customer experience I've ever had buying a car. I think they also had the best inventory around Southern California.
