Genesis G80
I've just gotten a 2018 G80. It has 245/45-18 tires. What pressure should I run them on? The recommended? or higher?

It states 33psi. I run 35psi on all four. Don't forget to check the spare tire monthly!

Open the driver's door, a foot below the latch is a plate with the psi's listed for the four wheels.

Recommended is fine but I tend to go about 2 psi higher.

I have a hose connected to my spare so I can quickly check it when I open the trunk.

I have a 5.0 and the rear is supposed to be 38psi. But on a hot day it goes to about 42 psi and they feel too hard. I may drop it 2 psi when cold to keep it closer to 38 psi when hot.

The pressure on the door is the cold tire pressure, not the hot tire pressure. It always goes above than when the car warms up.

I run my 2018 G80 Sport 3.3T at the factory spec denoted on the driver door jamb (cold 34 Front/38 Rear PSI) . On hot summer days (~95F) after driving highway speeds (maybe a "little" over posted limits ;) ) I've seen car pressure goes as high as 38/42 PSI (per car dash readout). This is normal/expected.

Tire pressure will fluctuate over time (air does leak out) and season (warmer/colder ambient air temperature). For proper maintenance, I regularly (at least monthly) check/adjust my tire pressure.. With the TPMS sensors in vehicles today this is easy to monitor. I have found the TPMS is fairly accurate (~ +/- 1PSI) comparing it to my quality tire pressure gauge in the garage (I don't keep it in the bedroom ;) ).

I also check spare/donut/bicycle tire pressure during my 5K mile maintenance interval. I've seen it loose 4-5 lbs over 5K miles/4-5 months. I've seen this lose on previous vehicles I've owned and is normal/expected. I typically inflate +2 PSI over specifications. It's much easier to remove air than put it in when "donut" is used/needed.

Right. If it’s at the at the right pressure when cold, just leave it alone.

Put a hose on the spare and it is then very easy to check. I actually replaced my mini spare with a full size spare. It fits in the well, but the jack holder had to be modified to fit. I did not get a matching wheel, got an inexpensive wheel that was the same size.
