  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I didn't get to read the full article yet but it sounds as if the next version of the G80 won't be sold in Hyundai showrooms...

Of the 835 Hyundai dealers in the U.S., 415 were sanctioned to sell the Equus, and today there are about 350 dealers authorized to sell the Genesis brand. That number is expected to fall in five years when the G80 is redone and can no longer be sold by everyone.

The way I understand it by listening to a couple of media released videos, the goal is to have around 300, not 350, Genesis Motors dealers that will sell the Genesis Models.

It specifically states they will not require these dealers to not also sell Hyundai products or to have separate facilities, only additional and very specific training for the Genesis models and customer interface.

Some dealers will have an additional building or two built for the Genesis team on their Hyundai site but, only a very few are expected to have only Genesis models. These would most likely be in very high density locations. Most of the 300 Genesis dealers will simply have dedicated floor space for Genesis in the show room and maybe a few dedicated service bays.

My dealer has already started construction and the Hyundai parts manager said the Genesis training will start within a month or so.

Regards,

Ray
