G90 for G80 Sport price?

Hi all. New to the forum but have been researching the G80 Sport for a couple months now. I have a good dilemma to have, and here it is. Basically my local dealer is offering me a 2017 G90 Premium 3.3t AWD for 55K plus additional incentives because the vehicle was used as a demo and has 3k miles on the odometer. I was really looking at the G80 Sport because it speaks to me more personally, however I am always up for a great bargain...if that's what this is. What's everyone's initial thoughts on going with the more luxury and size of the G90 compared to the sporty aesthetics of the G80 Sport? I am also going to post this on the G90 page for additional owner thoughts.

Hard to say what you will be happy with long term. A bargain is only a bargain if you are happy with the end result. Personally, I'd go for the G90. I prefer the luxury over the sport.

Let me also say, I'm turning 73 in a few days. If I was 26, good chance I'd go with the Sport. I could not even justify the extra $$$ for the 5.0 these days. What will fit you best a year from now? Think in terms of happiness, not bargains.

If it was the 5.0 Ultimate it would be the first choice. The appointments and luxury would be hard to beat.

I prefer the aesthetics of the G80 sport over the G90 which is one of the reasons I chose it, I like the interior carbon fiber trim and sportier exterior.

also I didn't see that I would ever have much use for the rear seat stuff.

I couldn’t agree more about being happy with my purchase now and in the long term. That probably is the biggest factor I’m facing. I’m 42, daughter is in college, not married..., think I just chose the Sport! Lol.

Unfortunately it’s the Premium, and like Mr. Incredible said, I don’t have or see much use for the rear seat stuff. I should have more luxury and options than my passengers!

I agree with the Sport design notes, especially the front fascia, wheels, and copper accents. Also agree wouldn’t use the back seat stuff much. Guess it’s time to decide between the White or Black.

I have the G80 Sport and have driven the G90 premium as a loaner. In my opinion the G80 has better styling and personally I think the dash and controls are laid out better in the G80. More buttons are located around the DIS wheel and more can be done from there than having to reach and push the buttons on the dash.

Based on the opinions from both threads so far, and of course my own feelings, I think the G80 Sport will be mine. Now one for a color battle...White or Black? Dealer has both on the showroom floor. Decisions decisions! Lol

White with Black interior is what I got.

I liked the Black, but the dealer only had it with the Grey interior, and that 2-tone looked odd to me, in addition I could see that light grey getting seriously dirty with my kids and dogs that ride shotgun.

^ Even putting aside not getting much use out of the rear seats in the G90, the G90 is just a more luxurious place to be up front than the G80 Sport.

The G80 Sport, otoh, has better aesthetics/sheetmetal and is a little bit sportier.

So, really depends on what you value more (seems like you value the latter more).

Should be able to get a really good deal on a '18MY when the '19's hit the dealer lots, so the G90 may not necessarily end up being that much better of a deal.
