  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Greetings G90’rs! Bought a pre-owned 2019 G90 from my local Hyundai dealer a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it. Retired a 2015 Lexus GS350 F Sport which I loved to drive but hated the interior/Navi/entertainment system. Not even a decent cup holder! Plus it had zero legroom in the rear and my tall kids could not fit comfortably. With the G90, I can’t get either kid to sit upfront with me since the legroom and amenities are superior in the back! They‘d prefer I ‘chauffeur’ them which I read is the whole point of the G90 luxe sedan.

Welcome and congrats!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Genesis G90! Nice upgrade from the Lexus GS350 - which were also pretty darn nice vehicles... You're right - the G90 is meant to safely and comfortable (and impressiveless) "chauffeur" passengers. Your kids have the right idea. :) I'm glad you found us!

Would you say the Genesis G90 rides better/softer/quieter than the Lexus GS350?

The G90 is quite a step up from the Lexus GS350 for sure. That model Lexus is very sporty but much smaller and without the luxury items like soft close doors, high end stereo, etc. The G90 rides so smoothly which is great for me and you felt the road in the GS350. And the quiet cabin! I can almost hear my heartbeat in the G90. The Lexus was great for getting a bit squirrely around some corners but just not in the same league as the G90 for overall enjoyment and comfy drive.

Thank you. Yes, the GS is more of a luxury sport sedan than a pure luxury vehicle. It sounds about right. The G90 is certainly hard to beat and seem to have taken over for the most luxurious vehicle you can get for the money. That used to be the Lexus LS...

I considered the Lexus LS and BMW 740 for sure. The prices for the pre owned LS didn’t provide a ‘value to luxe’ that worked for me (too pricey). And, all the pre owned BMW’s in my area were being sold by competing car manufacturers (i.e. pre owned BMW for sale at a Mitsubishi car lot). I’m still getting used to the G90 amazing amenities and ride which I’ve never had before with my other ‘luxury’ cars.

The LS is a good option, but unless you're getting the previous generation, I think the G90 is a better choice. The 7-Series, S-Class and Audi 8-Series are all very nice - and high tech - but they're not worth the expense of maintenance over the G90. Plus, the S-Class has become sportier and doesn't ride like it used to unless you spend $150k to get the magic whatever suspension - which will cost three arms and a leg to maintain later on...
