  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Check your VIN on the NHTSA website.
My 2024 had this issue and was corrected back in February, 2025. They found the metallic paint on my front and rear bumper covers was too thick. They shipped two new full bumper covers, had them painted and installed; cured the problem. It was most certainly a safety issue as described below.

That VIN lookup link to GoodCar above is spammy and they are aggressive with their stickiness for ongoing payments:

Here is the better VIN check link and you can download the PDFs at that sight for the actual recall and service bulletin instructions:

Now I have 2 outstanding recalls! Surprised no replies on this thread yet.

Sounds like the you and mduffin are to thank for this.

I notice my car engages the emergency brake when I am parking and in creepimg speed when I get 12-18 inches away from car or obstacle it fires the brakes. Is that normal? Scares the hell out of me every time. Watching intently on the monitor and then you swear to god someone put a fake picture up and that is how you hit the obstacle, but it is just the auto-braking. My Palisade did not do that.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Goodcar is also spammy and makes you pay for anything. Just go to NHTSA, you can get all the info you need there.

Unfortunately, our esteemed G90 forum automatically changes any mention of VIN or any links to NHTSA to Goodcar. Ask me how I know? Goodcar is indeed spammy!

The NHTSA link in the OP works fine for me too.
Put the letters V I N in a post and watch what happens to it. No issues with my iPhone or computer...I will type VIN here with no link, and I bet it gets turned into a Goodcar link after about 10 minutes...I believe it is the website's advertising bot to keep the lights on for the forum. Try it out and then you will understand what I was saying.

OK - well, that is expected. Yes, any inline links of certain keywords do go to advertising sites. Forums have been doing this for years. Always hover over inline links anywhere online to make sure they are taking you somewhere you actually want to go.

However - you also said "any mention of NHTSA" goes to goodcar - which just isn't happening, even as an inline. It never gets highlighted or hyperlinked - so you cannot click on it and certainly doesn't go to goodcar or anywhere else. The URL I posted does highlight - and goes to exactly where it says.
