  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello board.
Looking to purchase preowned vehicle.
Looked at BMW 6 series GT AWD;
Like the concept of 4dr hatchback and reliable 6 cylinder t-turbo and precise driving dynamics and feed back from vehicle itself.
I was presented to look into Genesis G90awd and/or G80awd. I looked at forums and web resources about these two (2) vehicles; and very impressed overall.
Can anyone provide personal input about comparing BMW 6 GT to G90 and G80? I realize the body style is different, and the larger G90 dynamics will differ; but I keep vehicles for a long time; 7-8, years and drive about 20-22000 miles per year. I am perform all maintenance prior to schedule times and do all service maintenance as required; and usually go over board with maintenance just to be safe.

Looking for open and honest insight. Plan on making purchase within 60 days.

Thank you all.

I owned a 20 G80 Sport AWD for two years. A great handling rocketship. My current 21 G90 Premium AWD is pure luxury. Zero complaints after 10 months. Definitely a bigger car, but the interior is wonderful. Can't speak to a BMW, never owned one.

Thanks👍
With me being 6’2” tall and 245 front leg and shoulder space is a concern; espically for the rear passengers.

I had a 2015 Hyundai Genesis and currently a 2020 G90. Both 5.0L AWD. Honestly, they're pretty much the same car. Same platform, same drivetrain. The only time I notice is in parking lots because of the extra 6" wheelbase in the G90. The materials are the same, the suspension is softer in the G90. The electronics in the G90 are newer...

Unless you want such a big car, I would go with the G80. In areas that need extra maneuverability, neither is really a great choice... especially the G90. For instance, I stay away from downtown Vancouver because the parkades are too tight and the parking spots aren't wide enough. I also have to use the 360 cam just to go through a McDonald's drive through so I don't curb the wheels. Right turns have to be taken extra wide, etc...
