  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

I have a 2012 Genesis 3.8L and the gas pedal seems a bit stiff. I'm having to push with a lot more force than I'm used to in order to get the car to accelerate, at least compared to my previous cars, a Lexus GS 300 and Toyota Corolla.

Just wondering if anyone else feels that their gas pedal is stiff and required a lot of force to push. Does it get better with time as the car gets more worn in?

Thanks,

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Take it to your dealer and ask to test drive another Genesis and see how it compares.

you can also move your seat closer :)

My 11 Genesis 4.6's accelerator pedal seems no stiffer than my Lexus GS400. Definitely test drive another 3.8L '12. Good luck.

CalBear88, I just purchased a "certified pre-owned" Gen 4.6 with 19000 miles. I notice the same thing, the pedal seems a bit stiff and hard to modulate very small changes smoothly. I was prepared to lube the linkage but there is none. Did you resolve your issue?
