  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi just wondering if it is recommended to change the gearbox oil in a Genesis 2015 3.8 rwd sedan? My car has done 63,000 miles but noticed the gearbox isn’t as good as it used to be.

Also wondering what spark plugs the group would recommend please?

Many Thanks for any help. Very much appreciated.
Charlie

PS I searched for any posts about the gearbox oil but could not find any.

Gearbox as in the transmission or the differential?

I was meaning the automatic transmission but whatever other’s experience is best. Thank you

Sorry I read it too fast at work. These tranny's are a pain to work on if you don't have a lift. I would go to a transmission shop and get a drain and fill. Do not get a flush or go to a all in one garage aka jiffy lube or kost

Thank you. Is there a recommendation of how many miles before you do this? Thanks

Drain and fill at 60 to 75k. Swap the pan at 100k. These cars have a filter built into the pan.
