  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Teen vandals took the "S" off, so i am now driving a "GENESI".
Doesnt really matter because in any case people have no heck of an idea what i am driving.
Called the dealer..$45 to get new lettering. Nothing on ebay.....

You can have mine for free - I de-badged and kept the letters. You'll have to figure out some adhesive. Let me know if you want it

$45 for a piece of badge?
That's kinda pricey. Try to look for vendors who sell OEM hyundai parts.
I'm sure they can get them for cheaper than that.
Damn kids... Probably stole it to put it on their "type-S" or S type and what not.

Well, its a Hyundai, the badge probably just fell off.

:D

You can have mine too, I debadged the car, they are just sitting in a pile in my garage now.

How nice of you gentlemen to offer them for free. ;)
Good to be part of the community.

Ditto. Mine came off last week. I think it looks cleaner that way.

You'd need to cut some 3M or the like, double sided tape into thin strips and remove the old adhesive.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Disaster, your Genesis looks much cleaner without the name. I may look into removing my name plate.

Thank you guys, you are awesome!!
I took the first offer by dg_moore, and hope to see the lettering soon!
Again, so pleased to be part of the group.:grouphug:

You could just take off the "si" and call your car Gene.

Thanks DG!! i received the letters!!

I am now going to try with the 3M double sided tape.

Glad it all worked out.

If for some reason you need a new set you can buy it at KAI for $12.95 + shipping: http://www.koreanautoimports.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=31_237_316&products_id=2083

If I were you I would print this out and send it to your dealer with a nice note saying that it's not good to price gouge their customers. I mean $45?!?!, come on! I've heard of markups, but a 340% markup takes the cake.

Reminds me of this time were we out of town on a road trip and hit a rock in the freeway. We blew out our tire and bent our wheel on our Mitsubishi Outlander. Since we were 200+ miles from home we had to get a permanent replacement to get us home. The only dealership near us with an OEM alloy wheel wanted $710 for one friggin' wheel!! Needless to say we bought a cheap $100 alloy at Les Schwab to get us home and purchased a new OEM alloy online for $290 once we got home. I hate how greedy some dealerships are. I was kind of hoping this economy would weed all the bad ones out.
