  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all, I recently bought a used 2015 Genesis with 48k miles on it and I noticed that it has some kind of fabric hanging from beneath it as seen in the pic. Any thoughts on what this might be? Thanks for the help!

Did you take the bottom fairings off or are they missing? it looks like pieces of Fairing.

Strictly guessing but I'd say it's part of the under body panels that need to be clipped back in. Mine has a push pin clip missing in a couple of spots.

Thanks for the reply, I personally did not take anything off although, the vehicle was serviced at the dealership for another issue. Would they have to be replaced?

I can't tell from your picture it the rear one is on or not, but the front one is for sure missing. You shouldn't be able to see your oil filter and underside of the engine. I doubt the dealer would do anything about it, it was probably missing before. I don't know how much performance difference there is without it but it does keep you engine clean.

"Have" to be replaced? No. Need to be? Yes. Nothing I'd panic over but they were put there for a reason.

Eventually all of them will get beat up and damaged. Just the nature of what they're made of and where they are.

Thanks for your response everyone. I will be getting this looked at and replaced.

They are a pain in the behind especially if you drive in the rain or through puddles. Way too easy to knock off and fold down.
