Genesis 2016 sedan oil light

Thanks for adding me to the Genesis Group. I have a 2016 Genesis Sedan. I love my car have had it since it was brand new . I was googling possible causes as to why my " oil light " sporadically comes on when im stopped. Doesn't do it all the time and I see in the forum this is an apparent problem for this car. How many miles?

Been years since I had a car that did that but I drove it for a few years with no problems but times have changed.

It's the oil pressure switch/sensor, it's faulty and should be replaced. Especially when you Rev the engine, the lights goes off.

Maybe, that has happened. But is is possible he has 150,000 miles and oil pressure drops at idle.

Been years since I had a car that did that but I drove it for a few years with no problems but times have changed.

126000 miles . I am scheduling repair not sure if it's the sensor or the oil pump but I'm not driving just in case . Thanks!!!!

Yes it goes off when I rev engine just the slightest.....this forum has been most beneficial! Thanks for all the pointers!

The same happened with me, it turned out to be a faulty sensor
