  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all

since genesis 2017 is appeared in saudi arabia and no different between 2016 and 2017 only some led lights in inside the car and rear fog light

but no different at all and beside that it still under hyundai name not G80 as we expected so do you have the same in US and canada ?

There's going to be a 2017 Hyundai Genesis in Saudi Arabia?

IIRC, Genesis as a separate brand is only for Korea and USA for now.
Europe is delayed, as is India. I'm not too sure about the Middle East, Australia etc...

Well that would explain it. I forgot about that...

G80 in your country will have the same engines 3.8 and 5.0

the G90 will have 3.3 and 5.0

Did you know our 2016 Hyundai Genesis doesn't get the V8? We only get the V6 here. 2015 had the 5.0 liter V8 available...

strange

that means you wont have V8 ever on hyundai genesis or let say G80

in that case its cleare that you will have 3.3 and 3.8 options only

I really don't know what to think. I have a feeling Hyundai took the V8 out of the 2016 Genesis so the 2017 G80 could have something the "Hyundai" didn't have. They need to set it apart some how. So I'm pretty confident it'll have the V8. I'm sure Hyundai is aware of how bad Acura is doing without a V8 as well as Lexus's GS line - who thought they'd be fine with the "hybrid" GS - but that's really not going well. Cadillac came around and offered something better in their non-V branded CTS - but that's a twin turbo V6. Still, it just goes to show that cars competing in this area need to be solid performers...
