Okay I am a newbie here but I really would like some advice/help.
I just bought a 4.6 Genesis Sedan and I LOVE IT. I never imagined that such great value and comfort could be got at such a bargain (relatively of course).
Thing is, I bought the car used rather than new, and so it is a 2010 with 8000 miles on it. It was missing the usual: missing second key, missing floor mats. The second key is being ordered for me by the dealer but I am responsible for the floor mats (that was the way the deal went down on signing).
However, I have a few questions. I understand that almost everything is supposed to come standard on the 4.6 model, so I am puzzled as to why my car seems to be missing a few options. Most noticeably, it does not have adapative cruise control (where it follows the car ahead a set distance). Also, it does not have the "slow throttle control" I read about elsewhere on this forum, not sure if that is supposed to be standard. It also doesn't have a DVD-changer (it plays just one single DVD).
Does anyone know the reason for this? I do know my car was previously a fleet rental and that was the reason I got the car cheap but I am not sure if its missing all these items because of that? Or are these options not standard even on the 4.6?
Finally, one perplexing things is the SAT/XM radio is not working. It says "no connection" when I try to change to XM mode, and won't do anything (won't change channels, won't play the advertising stream, etc...) I even tried subscribing to XM radio, paid Sirius for a full year etc... but could not get the system to say anything other than "no connection" (or "no signal" at times). Sirius tech support was clueless on this but I got my subscription money back. Does anyone know what might be up? All the rest of the modes work fine (normal radio, dvd, nav, bluetooth, usb, etc...).
Thanks!
