Can you lock your car anywhere you are at ? Or do you have to be close to the car ?
Whats your favorite features of the genesis app ?

Anywhere as long as you and the car have cell.

The app is fine, nothing special. It's pretty underwhelming compared to other cars in the market. If I could add features I'd want to see my fuel gauge or the cameras. I also want to turn the heated features, seat and steering wheel, on from the app.

I can set the interior temp via the app. They show 4 presets, "Summer" (set to LO), "Winter" (set to HI temp), then 2 presets I can chose any temp I want. Yours doesn't have that ?

So ive used the app for a short while. It is very slow ! And laggy .

Im thinking about getting the blue link service. Don't you have to ha a membership to use the app?

Without a subscription the app does little. It would tell you where the nearest dealer is, it will let you shop for accessories.
If you want the remote functions, geo fence, alerts and such, yes, you need to pay.

It takes about 45-50 seconds for the car to respond to commands, unless the car is already dialed in for some other reason, in that case it reacts in a few seconds.

I've found that the actual Hyundai for 2015-16 app seems to work and is laid out better than the Genesis one..

Almost a minute to unlock/ lock doors, start car and other stuff ? It needs to big update too long for those features. They could of at least added remote start on the key fob. Our cars needs to wait after the cold start before driving off.

The signal goes from the phone to the BlueLink servers to the car. Yes, it takes too long in many cases. It has been mentioned before, subscription services seem to be the way of the future. It is a revenue stream.

No need to wait to drive off though, Just take it easy the first couple of miles like any other car.

The hardest thing for me has been to remember to actually start the car 1-2 minutes before it's needed. I came from a G37 without remote start, but it does drop the windows using the fob, something I did all the time in the summer as I approached the car. In Texas it's more about the heat, not the cold. The G80 of course won't lower the windows with the key fob, and by the time I'm within key fob range it's way too late to try to remote start the car.

I have two problems. First, I often forget to lock the doors
Second, I often don't remember to start the car until I'm through the checkout at the store. A couple of times I've beat the signal to the car.

My cars that had an aftermarket starter also locked the doors as part of the auto sequence. I miss that.

In the DFW area you pretty much have to lock your car, many reports of things stolen from unlocked cars. But yeah, like you I don't want to start mine until I clear the checkout line, and that's hard to remember to do - but I'm getting there!

I'll often remote lock the car just to make sure, in case I forgot to. At least that way, it'll start when I try.

I agree I sometimes forget to start it until it’s too late. But one thing do do really like that you can not get with a fob is positive verification that you car is locked.
