Thanks very much for that information. I had been in negotiations to purchase a used 2018 G80 in Polar Ice, but once I found out that Genesis treats second owners as red-headed step-children, I've been leaning toward purchasing a new one instead. And since new 2018s in that color are almost nonexistent (1 in California & maybe 1 somewhere else), I'm most likely going to wait for a 2019. This $1,500 will help offset the higher price I'm going to have to pay for it.

Yes, should I decide on the G80 Sport that will probably be the color I will want to get. I have been tracking the 2019 inventory fairly loosely but so far have seen 2 in Polar Ice RWD. Hopefully as more states/dealers come online we will see more of them.![]()
Two? I'm only aware of one so far, at a dealer in Springfield, VA. There's a dealer in Atlanta advertising one as a 3.3T Sport, but it's actually just a 3.8 with a Sport Package. Is that the second one you were referring to, or is there another actual 3.3T Sport out there somewhere?

No, I'm actually in Florida. I'd prefer to buy from a local dealer, but there's no telling when any dealer in Florida is going to be getting any 2019s, much less one in Polar Ice. I went to my closest dealer in downtown Miami yesterday and they had absolutely no idea when the current situation was going to change.
We have been talking about the $1k discount for owning a competitive car, turns out for the G80 it is $1,500. I have attached a pic of some information.
This is just a shot in the dark, but I thought I'd check to see if Genesis is offering any lease cash on the 2019s. I wouldn't think so, and I haven't been able to find any info that would indicate that they are, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
I'm currently in negotiations and trying to get the best offer I can one way or another.
No, currently no lease cash or incentives. Check out the Edmunds lease rates forum to verify you are getting quoted the correct MF and RV. The amounts can vary by lease length, area, model and trim.

There was another one down there but I sent the info to another guy looking for it and he bought it.
The quest for a Polar Ice G80 Sport
Yep that was me, I think I might owe turtleboy royalties or something, Polar Ice is AWESOME and so is the car. Can’t thank you enough ... hope you get to enjoy it, too, Prospective!

I just got an email from David the salesman at Safford and he said he sold the Polar Ice to someone from Florida today so I have a feeling that "Prospective G80 Owner" is now "G80 Owner".![]()

Yeah, thanks to you and TurtleBoy, I have to travel a bit farther to get mine, lol. Georgia would have been a lot more convenient!

Yeah, that would be me! There's still some i's to dot and t's to cross, but the deal is essentially done. I was originally planning to drive the 1,100 miles up there to trade in my Jaguar in order to save about $1,500 in sales tax, but I ultimately decided that it wasn't worth the hassle. I also decided against having the car shipped. Instead, I'm going to fly up there next weekend and then road trip my way home.
BTW, I told David when I initially called him Saturday morning that you had given me his number. So that's two G80s you're responsible for selling now. You may be one of Genesis's top salesmen!
