  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
Genesis G70
Bought the Genesis G70 two weeks ago. Connected on line with Genesis Connect and uploaded the app on my Motorola smartphone. Could not get anything to work. The engineers have been working the issues for 10 business days and still nothing working.

Mines been set up for two days, supposedly, but nothing works for me either...

Error messages? Motorola version?

No error messages, I have a Moto E4, purchased 2 years ago.

To clarify, does the app open OK? Correct VIN? One thing you can try to determine if it is on the phone or car side it to log in to www.mygenesisusa.com try performing operations from there.

I will check and get back to all.

This morning, I've tried both the cell phone app(Samsung S9+) and the Genesis Connect website, and nothing is working for me. Nor is my car status "updating."

I've started a support ticket, and will report back what if anything happens.

So far I'm not impressed, Genesis :/

You may also want to check with the dealer to be sure your car is properly registered with BlueLink. They are supposed to set up the account before you drive away.

Tried mine just now, S10e, all seems to be ok. In fact, everything was almost instant.

When you login to the Owner's portal, what do you see?

I see this:

1586787471980.webp

On the Connected Services web page, Connected Care, Remote, and Guidance are all "Active."

When I try to do anything via the web page or the phone app, I get a message "The feature is currently unavailable."

I cant believe it. I tried using this morning and everything works. Two weeks of waiting and out of the clear blue, it's working. Awesome!

Not the first to report that. It’s like a black hole exist and when you are going to pop out the other end is a guess. Once it’s working though, you should be good for my initial problem upon first buying my G70 once it solved itself has been fine since then. Less a quick start feature for when it first hit and then got updated I had some minor issues but nothing that prevented getting the vehicle started.

Update to my issue of not working:

I call Genesis Customer Support, was told to try a hard reset of the infotainment system(little black button below volume knob), and wait five minutes. As of now, everything is working as intended. They claimed it was because the vehicle was brand new, and not properly set up by the dealer.
