Anyone else receive this notification?
"We wanted to notify you in advance that Genesis Connected Services will be intermittently unavailable due to a planned scheduled maintenance, on the following dates and times:
Saturday, February 9th at 8:00 PM through Sunday, February 10th at 3:00 AM Pacific Time.
Following our scheduled maintenance you will be required to update to the latest version of the Genesis Intelligent Assistant App.
Thank you for your patience."
 
I updated to 2.8.15 this morning. Don’t see much of a change. App Store update not informative, “Bug fixed and performance improvements.” Meh.

Update successful. Apparently, nothing significant.
 
Having the app unavailable for a few hours made me even more confident that they should really consider enabling the remote start via key fob. I was hoping the app would let one do some more functions (longer remote start time, open/close windows & sunroof, up/down side shades).
 
I'm doing some research on the Genesis Connected Services and found this on page 1 of the Genesis Connected Services Manual "NOTICE: THIS VEHICLE MAY UTILIZE 3G WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY, WHICH IS EXPECTED TO NO LONGER FUNCTION AFTER 2022. YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE UNABLE TO CONNECT TO GENESIS CONNECTED SERVICES AFTER 2022 AND MAY NOT BE UPDATED TO SUPPORT OTHER TECHNOLOGIES." This is for a 2019 G70.

Wow, after three years and all the Genesis Connected Services including remote start "may" not work and "may" not be updated? I'm pretty surprised at that.

I wonder if if this is legalese to cover butts and there's nothing to worry about or basically, you're screwed after three years.

pretty sure all the US based Hyundai/Genesis vehicles are using 4GLTE, it has been discussed here before, the disclaimer is there going back to 2015 vehicles not sure if it has ever been updated.

There are a few threads on the matter, but I am pretty sure it was determined 2017 + are on 4GLTE.
 
How much does the Connected Services cost? I purchased a used 2017 G80, sent in the credentials and had the VIN clearance completed and it shows that I can activate a 5 month free trial with automatic renewal after that, but doesn't say how much it is. I like the idea of the remote start in the winter, but other than that, do you find any other functionality that useful? Is it worth the cost?

I believe the packages start at $79 hand run up to $299 a year depending on the level you pick, you have to call genesis connected services to get the pricing
