  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am in Northern California - Sonoma County specifically. My nearest dealership and service center from whom I purchased my GV60 closed down without any notice/warning. And now I am trying to figure out best way for me to do service/recall repair etc. Next available location is about 100 miles away.
I am wondering what the reason was and if there is any plan to have a new 'standalone' location nearby?
Anyone else in similar boat and can share any experiences? Thank you

Here is what I would do. Call for an appointment, next ask are the parts for the recalls IN STOCK. Then request that they be reserved for your VIN number and make an appointment. If it takes longer then a day, your choice to get a loaner and make the trip back and forth or make a short vacation out of it. I learned this the hard way when making an appointment for a factory recall only to find out they didn't have the part.

Today I wanted to make again an appointment for another recall when the service advisor told me they ordered the part but they didn't notify him that the part arrived, and now the part is gone. Factory recalls with Genesis are a real sh1t show.

I used to have the same part ordering problems from Infiniti, Chevy and Ford.
