  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’d like to put together an easy to find and browse through resource of frequently asked questions for Genesis owners. It sounds like a fairly time consuming project - but I think it’s doable and will be helpful.

My question is: where to begin? Any insight, thoughts, criticism, etcetera - would be appreciated. Thank you.

Certainly sounds like a lot of work.

I would do two steps. One would be more general and questions that apply to all, then break it down to model differences.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
What level is that for? Will it be for people who do read the owner's manual and need help with some quirk that the manual actually doesn't cover clearly, or will it be for people who refuse to look at the manual?

Could the data from the site be useful? For example, the search history might yield questions that people frequently ask, while the number of times posts are liked or linked to in other discussions might indicate posts that contain useful answers. It would be beneficial to have a Human (or AI with a Human proofreader) combine multiple posts on the same topic into a single concise answer, but the proofreader would need knowledge of our cars to ensure the answer is correct.

This sounds like a really good approach. There were a lot of things which spanned multiple models, and then some that were model specific.

Looking into making this happen. There are two ways about it - and one includes a wiki. If that wiki feature won't work, I'll create separate sections (forums) for each model and go from there. I think it can be a really useful resource - we'll just need people to populate it with information.

Another thing I may be adding is Dealer Order Guides... It would showcase which model/year had which features or not. Thoughts on that?

I agree that this sounds like a lot of work but it would be useful as the worst aspect of the GV60 is the essentially useless manuals, A lot of trees were killed for not very useful information.

I like the idea of using it for matters not easily found in the manual or get arounds and those could be broken down something like this:

purchasing
interior
exterior
driving and handling
ADAS and other high tech features
reviews
service
dealerships
