According to the latest news from the KEEA, Genesis (one of the brands of Hyundai Motor Group) intends to electrify its entire car lineup.
The very special infographic provided to us by the KEEA shows a list of recently trademarked model names with an "e" prefix, clearly suggesting electrification:
The eGV70 and eGV90 are all-new names.
- eGV70 (compact SUV)
- eGV80 (midsize SUV)
- eGV90 (large SUV)
- eG70 (compact sedan)
- eG80 (midsize sedan)
- eG90 (flagship sedan)

Very interesting as this seems to counter what the powers-that-be at Genesis have said - that the current ICE lineup won't get electrification (still think that a 48V system should be the default battery system) and that instead, they are developing a separate BEV lineup (skipping hybrids and PHEVs).
The only way these filings wouldn't counter that is if (1) Genesis is simply doing so in order to prevent anyone else getting the rights to these names or (2) if they intend for their separate BEV lineup to follow the same basic nomenclature but just w/ an e affixed to the front (which isn't ideal).
Another possibility is that this would be for the Genesis lineup down the road when there no longer is separate ICE and BEV lineups, but that everything is a BEV.
At least by Genesis having filed for a trademark to the eGV90 moniker, we at least know that they are seriously contemplating a proper full size, 3-row CUV.
