  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
I have a 2009 Genesis and I read on a forum that the top speed was 130 mph. When I first got my Genesis I took it to 155 mph and then a safety device slowed me down, I thought I broke something so I asked the salesman about the issue and he advised me about the safety feature. He was correct I took the car to 155 mph and each time the car saved me from myself lol. I had a video showing the speed but can't find it.If there are other Genesis G1 owners that have had the safety feature engage at 155 mph please share your experience here. Thanks

Electronic speed limiter is what you're hitting at 155. Nearly every car is electronically speed limited, but most cars are lower than 155.

On what road did you drive 155?
