  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis G70 Named Car of the year

Maybe not too shocking that the G70 won an award in Korea, beating out 4 non-Korean cars plus the Stinger. Not to diminish what the G70 has to offer but I think there may have been a bit of bias operating.

^ The Camry won the award a # of years ago (didn't think it was deserving), so not entirely biased.

Maybe there weren't any decent new Korean models released that year. Most awards only go to new models.

^ Do you always have to try to be contrarian/argumentative? (oh, wait...)

This was a huge blow/shock to Hyundai.

The Camry managed to narrowly edge the Santa Fe and the 3 Series for the top award.

The fact that awarding Car of the Year to a Japanese car came as a "huge blow/shock" to Hyundai only highlights the fact that they "expect" the award to be go to a Korean auto company. I wonder if those journalists (or whomever) that voted for Camry still have their jobs?

^ Again with the contrarian/argumentative thing.

The FACT is that they didn't win it.

And unlike what you tried to claim, Hyundai had the Santa Fe up for the award (the other finalist being another import brand).

Pretty hilarious that every time I rebut your point, you try to come back with some argument that has little basis behind it or if that fails, try to flip the point around on its head.

Last year, the winner was the Renault Samsung SM6 (aka Renault Talisman).
