  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As consumers continue to flock toward the ubiquitous SUV, the station wagon continues on its downward trajectory. Indeed, they've become somewhat of a rarity and, as a result, fewer manufacturers are choosing to offer them stateside. Even Mercedes-Benz, purveyors of some the finest longroofs available, don't plan on building them forever.

That's why, when Genesis unveiled the Shooting Brake variant of its G70, we admired it from afar. No point in lusting after what you can't have, right? Well, that may change very soon. Speaking to Autocar, the brand's Chief creative officer, Luc Donckerwolke, said "We did the G70 Shooting Brake for Europe but then all the markets said 'we want it as well'. Even the US said 'we don't want any wagons here', then they said 'oh sorry, can we revise that?'"

Is this a hint suggesting the achingly gorgeous Shooting Brake is heading stateside? Well, it might just be. The recipient of the 2022 World Car Person Of The Year award told the British publication that although South Korea isn't necessarily a "wagon country", Genesis is introducing the vehicle there shortly. I'd have a hard time not buying one of these. I'll never understand why people are so opposed to wagons. Strangely sporty wagons seem to do well on the used market but sport wagon fans don't buy them new. I guess sport wagon buyers are cheapskates?

Anyway, it won't happen but I'd like to see the tailgate squared off some to make the cargo area a bit more usable.

I would have bought one of these instead of my G70. As a golfer, I love a hatchback (didn't love the Stinger though).

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
If it came with the same drivetrain and engine options in the states, hell yea but as it currently is offered elsewhere, it's only available in the 2.0 trim. That is fine but having options is nice especially when it provides you an actual choice over two than just the one.

I personally love it but I'm biased as I actually like wagons. They aren't like the wood trimmed ones of yestercentury. Hell the audi rs6 avant and the merkadez e85 amg would be high contenders for one of my so called dream cars, lol.

Hear me out.... This wagon, with the 3.5TT, AWD, and a manual!! For less than $60k. I know, just dreaming.

That wagon looks ace! Hope it comes here

I'm sure the likely 100 eventual buyers will be excited!

I never understood why American buyers won't but hatchbacks, but love, and will buy tiny @ss crossovers that are actually smaller.
